Existential Analysis
Existential Analysis, which originated from Logotherapy, was initially established by the Viennese psychiatrist Viktor Frankl in the 1930s and subsequently expanded and refined by Alfried Längle into its current form. It is a psychotherapeutic approach that investigates the conditions for living a meaningful, value-filled, and self-determined life. It aims to help individuals lead and experience their life authentically by being conscious of one’s freedom and responsibility in a meaningful context. Ultimately, being able to say Yes to Life.

This approach can be used to address psychosocial, psychosomatic, and psychologically rooted issues by examining the existential aspects of a person's life and struggles. This psychotherapy approach is recognized by the Austrian Federal Ministry for the treatment of mental health disorders.
